Noisemaker is an artist-focused management company and together we will help develop and maintain successful careers for all of our artists. I have a great amount of respect for the music industry and am honored to introduce a new management company into it," says Des Islets.
About The East Pointers:
Here's a fun fact about traditional music: it's not always old even when it sounds like something lifted straight from a vintage ceilidh. For proof, witness The East Pointers - or more specifically, Secret Victory, their exhilarating debut full-length album. Secret Victory could easily stand beside any recording from any era in the illustrious Celtic/folk musical canon. Yet it features 10 brand new original tracks written by guitarist Jake Charron, fiddler Tim Chaisson and his cousin, banjoist Koady Chaisson, vocalists all and, in the case of the Chaissons, members of Prince Edward Island's reigning musical dynasty.
About Poor Young Things:
If there was any further proof needed of Poor Young Things' dedication to both the spirit of rock 'n roll, and to each other, it's burned into the digital grooves of their latest EP, Force Of Nature. Like really, how many other five-piece bands would be able to endure three weeks with each other in a hotel room containing only two single beds? But when the Toronto-based outfit ventured to Brooklyn in January 2015 to record the EP's six new songs, they were definitely not thinking about going on a vacation, but instead pushing their already established no-frills, high-energy rock to new heights.
About Steve Strongman:
With his latest album, Let Me Prove It To You, earning a 2015 JUNO nomination for Blues Album of the Year - following on the heels of the JUNO he won in 2013 for his breakthrough album A Natural Fact - Hamilton, Ontario-based Steve Strongman continues to make waves internationally and at home. Listening to him is guitar paradise and it is this mastery of the instrument, along with dynamic songwriting, vocal and potent performance styles that set him apart. Having established himself as a musical force to be reckoned with, Strongman has quickly moved into the top ranks of Canadian blues music, and is undeniably one of the most compelling young bluesmen in the scene today.
About Maple Music:
Established in 2002, MapleMusic Recordings is a full service music company offering in-house marketing, promotion, publicity, A&R, creative services, publishing and licensing to a roster that encompasses both emerging talent and established artists. The label is home to signings such as Jim Bryson, CAIRO, JP Hoe, Taylor Knox, Martha Wainwright, Royal Wood and Alabama Shakes.
